The Design Vault (TDV) is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use the TDV Mobile Application (“TDV Mobile App”).  By using the TDV Mobile App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our app.

1. Information We Collect

A. Personal Information

When you register for and use the TDV Mobile App, we may collect the following personal information:
- Email Address (required for registration)
- Password (used for securing your account)

Additionally, we may collect optional information that users can provide:
- Business Profile Information (e.g., company name, industry)
- Contact Information (e.g., phone number, email)
- Shipping Address

This optional information is collected to help TDV better respond to your requests and facilitate transactions such as quotes and product deliveries. You are not required to provide this optional information, and the app can be used without it.

B. Images and Media

When using the TDV Mobile App, you can:
- Upload Photos from your mobile camera or gallery, which may be used when requesting quotes from TDV.
- Access TDV’s Product Catalog which includes AI-generated images, TDV product images, and partner factory images.

C. Usage Data

We may collect information on how the TDV Mobile App is accessed and used, such as:
- Device information
- IP address
- Interaction with app features
- We use Firebase Analytics to track these interactions, helping us improve the app’s performance and user experience.

2. Instagram API

The TDV Mobile App uses the Instagram API to pull posts from TDV's official Instagram page. These posts are displayed within the app as part of TDV’s catalog. We do not collect, store, or access any personal Instagram data from users, nor do we require users to authenticate via Instagram. The Instagram posts accessed via the API are limited to public posts from TDV’s own Instagram account and are for display purposes only.

3. How We Use Your Information

TDV uses the information collected for the following purposes:
- To create and manage your account
- To display product catalogs, including Instagram posts and AI-generated images
- To process your requests for quotes on products
- To send you notifications regarding your requests or updates on TDV services via Firebase Messaging
- To improve the functionality and experience of the app through analytics

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

TDV does not sell or share your personal data with third parties, except in the following cases:
- Service Providers: We may share data with third-party vendors who provide services like cloud hosting, AI image generation, and data analytics.
- Legal Compliance: We may share information to comply with legal obligations or protect TDV’s rights and interests.

5. Security

We are committed to ensuring your information is secure. To prevent unauthorized access, we use suitable physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard the data we collect. While we use industry-standard practices, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Therefore, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

6. User Rights

You have the right to:
- Access and update your personal information in the app
- Request the deletion of your account and any associated data. 
- Opt out of optional data collection such as providing your business profile or shipping address

7. Account Deletion

You can initiate account deletion directly within the TDV Mobile App, through your account settings. Alternatively, you may send a deletion request to our support team via email at support@designvault.org.

Upon receiving a valid account deletion request, we will process it and permanently delete your account and associated personal data from our active systems within 60 days.

A. Types of Data Deleted: When you delete your account, the following data associated with your account will be permanently deleted from our active systems:
- Your Email Address
- Your Password (hashed)
- Any optional Business Profile Information you provided (e.g., company name, industry)
- Any Contact Information you provided (e.g., phone number, email)
- Any Shipping Address you provided
- Records of your quotation requests and related communications within our systems.
- Uploaded Photos from your mobile camera or gallery linked to your quotes.
- Your Usage Data tied to your account (e.g., interaction with app features via Firebase Analytics, where identifiable).

B. Data Retention and Exceptions: We may retain certain limited data for legitimate and lawful reasons even after account deletion, for a necessary period. This retained data will be kept secure and used only for these specific purposes. This typically involves moving the data to an archived state, meaning it is no longer actively processed or accessible for regular app functions, but retained in a secure, segregated environment.
- Legal Compliance: We may retain data for up to 1 year to comply with legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory obligations. This typically includes transaction records related to quotes or any financial interactions.
- Fraud Prevention & Security: To protect TDV and its users from fraudulent activity or abuse, we may retain certain identifiers or limited data for a period of up to 1 year.
- Service Continuity: Some aggregated or anonymized data that does not identify you personally may be retained for analytical purposes to improve our services and app functionality, as this data can no longer be linked to your deleted account.
- Backup Systems: Your data may remain in our backup systems for a limited period, typically up to 1 year, following deletion from our active systems, but will be scheduled for permanent removal during routine backup purges. This data will not be actively processed or used during this backup retention period.

C. Consequence of Deletion: Please be aware that deleting your account is generally irreversible, and you will permanently lose access to your TDV Mobile App account and all associated features and data. For security and anti-abuse purposes, the email address associated with a deleted account may not be immediately available for re-registration or use with a new TDV Mobile App account for a period of 1 year following deletion, or in cases of suspected fraudulent activity. We may require identity verification to process deletion requests to protect your privacy and ensure the security of your account.

8. Third-Party Services

The TDV Mobile App uses third-party services such as Firebase for analytics and push notifications, and third-party APIs for AI image generation and Instagram post retrieval. These third-party services may have access to some of your data, subject to their privacy policies.

Each API is subjected to their own platform terms and conditions.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

TDV reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app.
